I’m Megan, a performer-turned-digital marketer from the west side of Michigan. I like to dream big, I feel things way too strongly, I sing 75% of what comes out of my mouth, and I always give 110% to everything I do.
When I was a kid, I loved to perform. I’d choreograph dance numbers to the Mary Poppins soundtrack, write songs about cats, and proudly parade around in pajamas with a toy flute in front of anyone who would pay attention. Six-year-old me was convinced she was made for the stage.
But as I got older, I realized that seeing the smiles I brought to the people who listened to my songs and stories was the real reason I liked the performing arts. It was then that I knew I didn’t just want to perform anymore. I wanted to create. To inspire. To spread that magical joy that only comes from laughing at a Broadway show, being touched by a song lyric, or singing along with 10,000 other people in an arena to the sound of a guitar.
I wholeheartedly believe that music has the power to unite, heal people, and foster empathy like nothing else can. I turned to arts marketing in college because I wanted to help amplify and promote this amazing, life-giving power.
I’m now on a quest to use my gifts as a strong thinker, feeler, and communicator to touch as many lives as possible with the power of music.
